Sekol tuna are time-temperature monitored from the point of harvest to the point of sale using data loggers placed inside the tuna, on in the inside of the tuna box, and on the outside of the box. This ensures effective cold chain management practices are in place so that we can gaurantee that our customers receive the freshest tuna possible.

Sekol attempts to provide its customers and collaborators with full traceability and is currently investigating the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies for use into the supply chain. Linking up with QR barcoding technologies customers can scan the codes on Sekol labels and access a range of information on the product including time-temperature profiles of the product in transit, the history of the tuna and what it was fed, and even recipe ideas!
